The Indianapolis defense made a third- and fourth-down stop on the initial St. Louis possession. The Rams reached the Indianapolis 37-yard line on 10 plays.

Linebackers Scott Lutrus (knee) and Pat Angerer (foot) exited the game with injuries.

COLTS PRE-GAME REPORT

PRE-GAME CELEBRATION – Sunday’s game was the first in Lucas Oil Stadium since Super Bowl XLVI in February.  Prior to the game, Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard spoke to the crowd from mid-field.  Ballard directed the crowd’s attention to the stadium rafters as a banner commemorating the city, state and Super Bowl was dropped.  The banner hangs among those earned by the Colts from previous post-seasons.  The city hopes to attract the Super Bowl again in 2018.
