Dear God, this year we have many reasons to give you thanks. We thank you for the foresight that You gave to Jim Irsay and his team and for the courage to utilize that gift to bring together all the people that make the team that we are so proud to call the Colts.
We thank You for giving us the defensive team that has the most determination and courage in all the league and ask that You keep looking after them as they go about their business honoring us as fans.
We thank You for our offensive team, how they have become brothers in arms, caring for each other, appreciating one another and communicating to get the job done. We pray you keep them safe too.
We thank You for our coaching staff; for the knowledge and skill you have given them and for their ability to impart this to our team.
Most of all, God we thank you for Chuck Pagano. He has taught us so much about life and honoring it and each other. As Chuck walks through the hardest winter of his life we ask You to keep him safe, to hold him close and carrying him through, as you did for the pilgrims all those years ago. Dear God, as fans we know that if we live to see the Colts raise the Lombardi Trophy several times we will never have as great a year in the league as this one. Coach Pagano has brought much to our Thanks Giving table so we thank You for the skills you have given to the doctors and nurses that care for him in this battle and pray that You will keep Chuck growing stronger.
God Bless the people of Indianapolis and God Bless America.
