Sad to see the vets leave, but it eventually happens for one reason or the other. Good to have some money freed up to go after some younger talent. Very excited to see where this team is headed in the future. Thanks for the memories #93. You will be missed.

Alot of u have no football brains what so ever. You go by the name on the back of the jersey. Anybody who didnt see this coming needs to wake up. He was great in the 4-3 defense but colts dont run it anymore. He will never be able to play LB as and outside LB. Sad to see him go but the money he wanted isnt worth it and alot more guys will improve this defense over him. Why spend money for a name on the jersey when you can get guys who will fit the system better. Let me see i would take say Ed Reed over Freeney anyday. People need to look at the moneyband not names on jersey. Wont win superbowl if Freeney is taking up money for a position he isnt made to play.

Just another reason why I am no longer a Colts fan. I have had season tickets since 2004. Bought Season Tickets last year and waited until the deadline because I was hoping Irsay would do the right thing with Peyton.

He didn't.

I never went to 1 game last season. Not 1! So 3 seats in section 417 of Lucus Oil Stadium were empty all season long.

I will NOT be buying them this year.

Irsay is destroying the Colts! One of the greatest teams the NFL ever seen. But no longer.

Btw Irsay, if Peyton is washed up, how come the Broncos had the first seed in the AFC playoffs? What did you get? A wild card seed. And were lucky to get that.

And for all of the nay-sayers that are going to jump on me about loyalty, I have as much loyalty to the Colts as Mr. Irsay has to his players (Peyton, Clark, Saturday, Freeney).

Irsay deserves to have the Lucus Oil Stadium empty every game of the regular season. I feel for the Indianapolis community because they are going to pay the cost of this man's stupidity.

I am truly heartbroken....freeney has been a household favourite for 11 seasons. We will miss watching 93 play for the Colts. We still have 87 if he goes we will probably look for another team to follow. The Colts have gotten rid of some legends in the past 2 seasons just don't know what our team is coming to =(

I completely respect Dwight Freeney and what he has done for the Colts. If you still think hes a great fit for a 3-4 your are completely out of your mind. He is old and is past his prime. His stats alone are evidence of it. Nothing but respect, but his days of being a top teir DE is over. I wish it wasn't so, but sometimes the truth hurts.
