Each week Colts.com will take a look at the rest of the AFC South and review the previous weekend’s games.
Here is a look after Week Five:
49ers 34, Texans 3
-A pick six by Matt Schaub on Houston’s first play from scrimmage led to a blowout lost on Sunday Night Football. Houston turned the ball over four times and were down 21-0 midway through the second quarter. The Texans came out and got a field goal on their first drive of the second half but the 49ers controlled the time of possession from there in earning a home victory. Houston falls to under .500 for the first time since the 2010 season as they have lost three straight games.
NEXT GAME: St. Louis, Sunday at 1:00 p.m. EST
Chiefs 26, Titans 17
-In Ryan Fitzpatrick’s first start at quarterback for the Titans, Tennessee could not overcome three turnovers in losing a home game to the undefeated Chiefs. The Chiefs jumped out to a 13-0 lead but then scored 17 unanswered to take a three-point lead midway through the fourth quarter. However, the Chiefs scored 13 points in the game’s final 6:23 as a Fitzpatrick interception ended any chance for Tennessee to maintain pace atop the AFC South.
NEXT GAME: @Seattle, Sunday at 4:05 p.m. EST
Rams 34, Jaguars 20
-Thanks to the return of Justin Blackmon, the Jaguars played perhaps their best game of 2013. Blackmon scored a 67-yard touchdown on his first catch of 2013 and he finished the game with five grabs for 136 yards. A 17-point second quarter by the Rams put the Jaguars in a double-digit hole. Jacksonville fought back to within 27-20 with 10:22 left in the fourth quarter but the Rams answered with one final touchdown drive to seal the victory.
NEXT GAME: @Denver, Sunday at 4:05 p.m. EST.
