A pair of Colts veterans found new homes rather quickly when the free agency period opened up on Tuesday afternoon.
Drafted by the Colts in 2006, Bethea was a mainstay at the safety position during his eight seasons in Indianapolis.
Bethea hasn’t missed a game since the 2007 season and that durability attracted the San Francisco 49ers. In San Francisco, Bethea is expected to fill the starting role left by free agent Donte Whitner.
As expected, Colts teammates took to Twitter to show their gratitude for Bethea:
Indy it's been real… Fans and city showed me nothing but love my eight years there and greeted me w/ open arms Appreciate all the support!—

Later in the day it was the five-year veteran Brown who found some familiar faces with the San Diego Chargers.
Former Colts Director of Player Personnel Tom Telesco hasn’t been shy about pursuing former Colts in his little more than a year as the Chargers general manager.
Just like with Bethea, the support for Brown came from his former teammates despite agreeing to terms very late in the night on Tuesday:
