The first full day of shooting kicked off Wednesday morning with 2 year captain and 2013 Pro bowl cheerleader, Julia, welcoming the sunrise over the mountains. Teammates Cassia (3 year vet, captain) and Megan (rookie season) finished out the morning session shooting playfully in the ocean. The cheerleaders made their presence known in the afternoon at the Iberostar by taking part in meringue lessons, kayaking, and pool activities. 5 and 6 year veterans, Stefanie and Breanna F., outshone the sun and finished the first full day shooting by moonlight. It’s safe to say the ladies have come prepared to make the 2015 calendar the best the Colts have ever seen!
“Making memories” was the theme reiterated for the Colts Cheerleaders Thursday. The team boarded a bus at 7am and drove down to meet Vallarta Adventures. From there, they hopped on not one, but two different high speed boats to get them to the opposite side of the bay. The thrill of soaring through the water as the sun awoke was just the start of the day’s adventure. From there, they packed up in a truck and drove to base camp where they hopped on mules to take them through the jungle. Three hours had passed since they left the resort by the time they finally made it to their first shooting location, a breathtaking waterfall packed deep into the Mexican jungle. Fans can expect the 2015 calendar to showcase Ann and Shelby in the midst of a spectacular waterfall. Memories continued as the squad to a private beach to shoot Mariah, Hannah, Erin, Leanna, Allie, and Crystal Anne. From lying in hammocks to posing on a paddle board, the ladies each had unique and beautiful shots. The marathon of a day concluded with a starlit ride back to the Iberostar Playa Mita resort.
