The Indianapolis Colts today signed free agent wide receiver Aaron Burks and waived wide receiver LaVon Brazill.

Burks, 6-3, 205 pounds, was originally signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2014 before being waived on June 13. In four seasons at Boise State, he caught 47 passes for 743 yards and four touchdowns. As a senior in 2013, Burks posted career highs of 18 receptions and three touchdowns, while adding 309 receiving yards. As a junior in 2012, he played in all 13 games and totaled a career-high 319 receiving yards to go along with 17 receptions and his first career receiving touchdown.

Brazill was originally selected by the Colts in the sixth round (206th overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft. In 25 career regular season games with the team, he recorded 23 receptions for 347 yards and three touchdowns. Brazill also registered seven receptions for 144 yards and two touchdowns in three postseason games (two starts).

In honor of the men and women of law enforcement and to support the Indy Going Blue for IMPD effort, the Indianapolis Colts are joining with Meijer and GE to provide 4,000 free blue light bulbs for local Hoosiers. These light bulbs will be available from 4-6 p.m. on Friday, July 11, while supplies last, at the Pike Plaza Meijer (5349 Pike Plaza Rd, Indianapolis) and Southport Road Meijer (5325 E Southport Rd, Indianapolis). The bulbs will be available near the front of the stores, inside the general merchandise entrance. One bulb per person.

The Colts, Meijer and GE were inspired to organize this effort after learning that Central Indiana residents who wanted to join the Indy Going Blue for IMPD movement were having a difficult time locating blue light bulbs in the Indianapolis area. The organizations are encouraging residents to show their support for IMPD and all the men and women of law enforcement by changing out their porch lights with the blue bulbs on Friday evening.

*Note: Meijer is also working to make additional bulbs available for purchase Friday afternoon at their other Indianapolis area stores.
