The Indianapolis Colts today signed free agent wide receiver Nu’Keese Richardson, waived-injured cornerback Brandon Burton and waived wide receiver Greg Moore. If Burton clears waivers, he will revert to the Colts Injured Reserve list.
Richardson, 5-10, 160 pounds, played for the University of Pikeville in 2013, where he recorded 39 receptions for 588 yards and three touchdowns in nine games played. He also returned eight kickoffs for 121 yards and 15 punts for 193 yards and a touchdown. In 2009, Richardson played in nine games for the University of Tennessee and caught eight passes for 102 yards and a touchdown. He added 13 kickoff returns for 292 yards and six punt returns for 66 yards.
Burton was claimed by the Colts off waivers (Cincinnati) on June 12, 2014. He has played in 19 career games with the Minnesota Vikings and Buffalo Bills, totaling five tackles and one pass defensed. In 2013, Burton recorded two tackles and one pass defensed in five games with the Bills. He was originally selected by Minnesota in the fifth round (139th overall) of the 2011 NFL Draft.
Moore was originally signed by the Colts as an undrafted free agent on May 13, 2014 and was waived on May 19. He was then signed as a free agent on June 10. Moore finished the 2013 season at Lane College with 59 catches for 910 yards and 11 touchdowns en route to All-SIAC accolades. He also had three 100-yard receiving contests.
