The Indianapolis Colts today signed free agent outside linebacker Phillip Hunt and waived wide receiver Nu’Keese Richardson.
Hunt, 6-1, 254 pounds, played in 22 career games with the Philadelphia Eagles from 2011-12, recording 15 tackles (14 solo) and 3.0 sacks. He spent the 2013 season on Injured Reserve after suffering an injury in the preseason. Prior to signing with the Eagles, Hunt spent two years (2009-2010) in the Canadian Football League with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, where he totaled 64 tackles, 19.0 sacks and one fumble recovery. In 2010, he led the CFL with 16.0 sacks for the year.
Richardson was signed by the Colts as a free agent on August 3, 2014. He played for the University of Pikeville in 2013, where he recorded 39 receptions for 588 yards and three touchdowns in nine games. In 2009, Richardson played in nine games for the University of Tennessee and caught eight passes for 102 yards and a touchdown.
