The Indianapolis Colts today signed free agent guard Andre Cureton and waived kicker Cody Parkey.
Cureton, 6-5, 332 pounds, was originally signed by the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2014 and was waived on August 12. Collegiately, he appeared in 23 games on the offensive line for Cincinnati, making six starts. As a senior in 2013, Cureton played in 12 games (six starts) and helped block for an offense that led the American Athletic Conference in yards per game (482.3) and fewest sacks allowed (12.0).
Cureton is a native of Indianapolis and was an Associated Press all-state selection at Pike High School. In 2008, he helped his team to a sectional berth and Conference Indiana Championship.
Parkey was signed by the Colts as an undrafted free agent on May 13, 2014. He finished his collegiate career at Auburn ranking in the top five in all kicking categories. As a senior, Parkey made 15-of-21 field goals, 62-of-63 PATs and ranked first in the nation with 69 touchbacks.
