The Indianapolis Colts today agreed to terms with guard Joe Reitz on a contract extension.
Reitz has played in 44 career games, making 24 starts for the Colts over the last four years (2011-14). In 2014, he saw action at guard and tackle in 10 regular season games (four starts) and started all three postseason contests at right tackle. The Colts finished the regular season ranked first in the NFL in net passing yards, third in total net yards and sixth in points scored. In the playoffs, the offensive line only allowed 1.0 sack and none in the final two games.
In 2013, Reitz appeared in a career-high 14 regular season contests (three starts) and was part of an offense that averaged 108.9 rushing yards per game, the team’s highest mark since 2006. He was originally claimed off waivers by the Colts on September 28, 2010 and spent his first season with the team on the practice squad before being elevated to the active roster on January 8, 2011.
