The Indianapolis Colts today signed free agent tight end Sean McGrath and waived tight end Jean Sifrin.
McGrath, 6-5, 247 pounds, has played in 18 games (nine starts) over his NFL career and has caught 26 passes for 302 yards (11.6 avg.) and two touchdowns. He has also appeared in three postseason contests. McGrath spent the entire 2014 season on the Kansas City Chiefs Reserve/Did Not Report list prior to being reinstated and waived on April 15, 2015. In 2013, McGrath played in 16 games (nine starts) with the Chiefs and registered 26 catches for 302 yards and two touchdowns. He also saw action in the Chiefs lone playoff game. McGrath originally entered the league with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent in 2012. He spent part of his rookie season on the Seahawks practice squad before being promoted to the active roster and playing in the team’s final two regular season games and two playoff contests. He spent all of 2013 training camp with the Seahawks before being released and claimed off waivers by the Chiefs.
Collegiately, McGrath played two seasons (2010-11) at Henderson State and finished with 61 receptions for 717 yards and four touchdowns. As a junior in 2010, he was named First Team All-Gulf South Conference and First Team Daktronics All-Region after catching 55 passes for 656 yards and four touchdowns. Prior to Henderson State, McGrath spent three years (2006-08) at Eastern Illinois and registered 28 receptions for 301 yards and three touchdowns.
Sifrin, 6-5, 245 pounds, originally signed with the Colts as an undrafted free agent on May 5, 2015. He played in 11 games (nine starts) in one season at Massachusetts and caught 42 passes for 642 yards and six touchdowns. Prior to UMass, Sifrin played at El Camino Junior College and ASA College in Brooklyn.

The Indianapolis Colts today signed undrafted free agent defensive lineman Camaron Beard and waived cornerback Al-Hajj Shabazz.
Beard, 6-5, 290 pounds, worked out with the Colts on a tryout basis during Indianapolis’ three-day rookie mini-camp after going undrafted out of Cincinnati. He played in 41 games as a Bearcat and finished with 75 tackles (22 solo), 2.0 sacks, 8.5 tackles for loss, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and one pass defensed. As a senior in 2014, Beard had 37 tackles (eight solo), 1.0 sack and two tackles for loss. The Indianapolis native played locally at Cathedral High School.
Al-Shabazz, 6-0, 200 pounds, originally signed with the Colts as an undrafted free agent on May 5, 2015. He played in 47 games at West Chester University, notching 151 tackles (100 solo), 32 passes defensed and nine interceptions.
