The Indianapolis Colts today signed free agent guard Dionte Savage and waived tackle Matt Hall and guard Kitt O’Brien.
Savage, 6-4, 335 pounds, originally signed with the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent on May 8, 2015 and was waived by the team on August 4, 2015.
He played in 23 games (seven starts) in two seasons at the University of Oklahoma. In 2014, he played in 11 games (six starts) and was named Honorable Mention All-Big 12 by the league’s coaches and was an Academic All-Big 12 second-team honoree. Savage participated in 12 games in his first season with the Sooners and earned his first career start at left guard in the Sugar Bowl vs. Alabama. Prior to Oklahoma, he was a National Junior College Athletic Association Second Team All-America choice at Arizona Western, where he helped the team earn its first bowl victory in 40 years at the 2012 El Toro Bowl.
Hall, 6-9, 326 pounds, signed with the Colts on July 27, 2015. He spent the 2014 season on Indianapolis’ Injured Reserve list after playing collegiately at Belhaven University.
O’Brien, 6-5, 310 pounds, was signed by the team on August 7, 2015. He spent the last two seasons in the Arena Football League with the Cleveland Gladiators.
