The Indianapolis Colts today claimed defensive tackle T.Y. McGill and guard Robert Myers off waivers.

The team also waived inside linebacker Amarlo Herrera and waived-injured running back Daniel Herron. If Herron clears waivers, he will revert to the Colts Injured Reserve list.

McGill, 6-0, 299 pounds, originally signed with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent on May 15, 2015. He spent the entire training camp with the Seahawks before being waived on September 5. McGill started 19-of-49 games he played in at North Carolina State and registered 131 tackles (78 solo), 24.5 tackles for loss, 10.0 sacks, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and one pass defensed. In 2014, he played in 11 games (six starts) and recorded 37 tackles (22 solo), 8.0 tackles for loss, 3.0 sacks, one forced fumble and one pass defensed. As a junior in 2013, McGill saw action in all 12 games (two starts) and finished with 25 tackles (14 solo), 5.0 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. He started 10-of-13 games as a sophomore and tallied career highs with 50 tackles (27 solo), 10.5 tackles for loss and 5.0 sacks. McGill played in all 13 games (one start) in 2011 and was the only true freshman to start a game for the Wolfpack.

Myers, 6-5, 335 pounds, was selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the fifth round (176th overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft and was waived by the team on September 5. He appeared in 46 games (35 starts) at Tennessee State, starting his final 29 consecutive games for the Tigers. In 2014, he was named Second Team All-Ohio Valley Conference and played in the 2015 Senior Bowl after being the only offensive player on the team to start all 12 games. Myers anchored an offensive line that allowed just 1.17 sacks per game, ranking 18th in the Football Championship Subdivision. He started all 14 games for the first time in his career in 2013 and garnered Second Team All-OVC honors. Myers saw action in 10 games (eight starts) as a redshirt sophomore. In 2011, he played in 10 games and recorded his first career start against Murray State, helping pave the way for the Tigers to rush for 168 yards and two touchdowns. Myers redshirted as a true freshman in 2010.

Herrera, 6-1, 249 pounds, was selected by the Colts in the sixth round (207th overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft. He started 43-of-54 games at Georgia and totaled 334 tackles (147 solo), 21.0 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, 11 passes defensed and three interceptions.

Herron, 5-10, 213 pounds, was signed by the Colts off the Cincinnati Bengals practice squad on October 9, 2013.
