INDIANAPOLIS COLTS AGREE TO TERMS WITH RB-ROBERT TURBIN

The Indianapolis Colts today agreed to terms with unrestricted free agent running back Robert Turbin.

 

Turbin, 5-10, 222 pounds, most recently spent time with the Dallas Cowboys and Cleveland Browns last season. He has played in 58 career NFL games (three starts) and totaled 281 carries for 1,127 yards (4.0 avg.) and one touchdown. Additionally, Turbin has caught 50 passes for 450 yards and two touchdowns in his time with the Cowboys, Browns and Seattle Seahawks (2012-14). He has seen action in eight postseason contests and registered 37 carries for 128 yards and tallied five receptions for 50 yards. Turbin won Super Bowl XLVIII in 2014 as a member of the Seahawks.

 

In 2015, Turbin played in three games for the Browns and tallied 18 carries for 60 yards and two receptions for eight yards before being waived on November 10. He signed with the Cowboys eight days later. Turbin appeared in the final seven contests of the season with Dallas and compiled 32 carries for 139 yards and one touchdown and five receptions for 15 yards.

 

Turbin played in all 16 games (three starts) for the Seahawks in 2014 and totaled 74 carries for 310 yards and 16 receptions for 186 yards and two touchdowns. He saw action in three postseason contests, including Super Bowl XLVIIII, and registered 11 carries for 48 yards and caught one pass. In 2013, Turbin appeared in all 16 games and recorded 77 carries for 264 yards, eight receptions for 60 yards and eight kickoff returns for 177 yards (22.1 avg.). He played in three playoff contests, including Super Bowl XLVIII, and tallied 14 carries for 40 yards and caught one pass for nine yards. Turbin played in all 16 games as a rookie in 2012 and finished with 80 carries for 354 yards and 19 catches for 181 yards. He appeared in two postseason contests and totaled 12 carries for 40 yards and three receptions for 43 yards. Turbin was originally selected by the Seahawks in the fourth round (106th overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft out of Utah State.
