The Indianapolis Colts today signed second-round draft pick, safety T.J. Green.Green, 6-3, 205 pounds, was selected by the Colts in the second round (57th overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft. He saw action in 26 games (16 starts) in three seasons at Clemson, finishing his career with 162 tackles (124 solo), 1.0 sack, three passes defensed, two forced fumbles and one interception. Green also spent time as a kick returner in college, tallying 24 returns for 505 yards (21.0 avg.).
In 2015, Green started all 15 games for the Tigers and finished the season as the team’s third-leading tackler with 130 stops (102 solo). He also had 5.0 tackles for loss, three passes defensed, two forced fumbles and 1.0 sack for the No. 10-ranked defense in the nation. Green helped aide the Tigers to a 14-1 season and a berth in the 2016 College Football Playoff National Championship Game. He originally began his collegiate career as a wide receiver prior to moving to safety after the 2013 season.
The Colts have now signed seven of their eight draft picks from the 2016 NFL Draft.
