The Indianapolis Colts today signed undrafted free agent running back Chase Price and free agent linebacker Anthony Sarao.
Price, 5-8, 200 pounds, participated in Indianapolis’ three-day rookie minicamp in 2016 on a tryout basis but was not signed. Collegiately, he played in 50 games at San Diego State and totaled 377 carries for 1,896 yards and 12 touchdowns and 34 receptions for 247 yards and one touchdown. In 2015, Price saw action in all 14 games for the Aztecs and collected 190 rushes for 1,030 yards and six touchdowns and caught 13 passes for 118 yards and one touchdown. He appeared in all 13 games in 2014 and registered 141 carries for 674 yards and five touchdowns and tallied 17 receptions for 126 yards. In 2013, Price played in 10 games and had 17 rushes for 78 yards and three catches for five yards. He saw action in all 13 games in 2012 and totaled 29 carries for 114 yards and one touchdown and caught one pass. Price redshirted as a freshman in 2011.
Sarao, 6-0, 235 pounds, signed with the Colts as an undrafted free agent on May 2, 2016 and participated in the team’s three-day rookie minicamp before being waived on May 10. He played in 54 games (34 starts) for Southern California and compiled 217 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss, 7.0 sacks, two fumble recoveries, one forced fumble, five passes defensed and two interceptions (one returned for a touchdown). Sarao’s best collegiate season came in 2014 when he tallied 75 tackles, 1.0 sack, three passes defensed and two interceptions, one of which he returned for his first career touchdown, and was named USC’s Co-Lifter of the Year. He also won USC’s Defensive Service Team Player of the Year Award during his redshirt season as a true freshman
