The Indianapolis Colts today signed free agent wide receiver Andrew Opoku and waived wide receiver Andre Debose.
Opoku, 6-4, 225 pounds, participated in the Baltimore Ravens 2015 rookie minicamp on a tryout basis, but was not signed. He played in 33 games at wide receiver and linebacker at Delaware from 2012-14 and totaled four receptions for 65 yards and one touchdown, 19 tackles (12 solo) and two fumble recoveries. Opoku also blocked a punt in 2014. Prior to transferring to Delaware, he spent two seasons (2010-11) at Connecticut. In 2011, Opoku appeared in all 12 games for the Huskies at linebacker and finished with 10 tackles (five solo) after redshirting the 2010 season. He played one post-graduate season at Fork Union Military Academy in Virginia in 2009.
Debose, 6-0, 190 pounds, was signed by the Colts as a free agent on July 30, 2016. He was originally selected by the Oakland Raiders in the seventh round (221st overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft out of Florida.
