INDIANAPOLIS COLTS WR-QUAN BRAY AND TE-ERIK SWOOPE SIGN TENDERS

The Indianapolis Colts today announced that exclusive rights free agents wide receiver Quan Bray and tight end Erik Swoope have signed their tenders. 

Bray, 5-10, 186 pounds, has played in 15 career games and totaled three receptions for 36 yards, one carry for seven yards, 28 punt returns for 224 yards (8.0 avg.) and 30 kickoff returns for 801 yards (26.7 avg.). He originally signed with the Colts as an undrafted free agent on May 5, 2015 out of Auburn.

 

In 2016, Bray saw action in six games, caught three passes for 36 yards and had one carry for seven yards. He also tallied seven punt returns for 58 yards (8.5 avg.) and nine kickoff returns for 231 yards (25.7 avg.). As a rookie in 2015, Bray spent the first seven weeks of the season on the team’s practice squad before being signed to the active roster and inserted as the Colts primary kickoff and punt returner. He finished his rookie season with 21 punt returns for 166 yards (7.9 avg.) and 21 kickoff returns for 570 yards (27.1 avg.). Despite playing in only nine games, Bray finished the season ranked sixth in the NFL in kickoff return average and 11th in kickoff return yards. Since taking over the duties in Week 8, his 570 kickoff return yards ranked fourth best in the NFL from Weeks 8-17.

 

Swoope, 6-5, 257 pounds, has appeared in 17 career games (four starts) and compiled 15 receptions for 297 yards (19.8 avg.) and one touchdown. He has also registered six special teams tackles. Swoope originally signed with the Colts as an undrafted free agent on May 13, 2014 after playing collegiate basketball at Miami (FL).

 

In 2016, Swoope saw action in all 16 games (four starts) for the first time in his career and caught 15 passes for 297 yards (19.8 avg.) and one touchdown. He also tallied six special teams tackles. Swoope spent the first 15 games of the 2015 season on the team’s practice squad before being signed to the active roster and appearing in one game. As a rookie in 2014, he spent the entire season on the team’s practice squad.
