The Indianapolis Colts today claimed tight end Henry Krieger-Coble off waivers (from Denver) and waived tight end Colin Jeter.
Krieger-Coble, 6-4, 248 pounds, played in the final two games of the 2016 season with the Broncos and caught one pass for 13 yards. He spent the first 15 weeks on Denver’s practice squad before being signed to the team’s active roster on December 23. Krieger-Coble originally signed with Denver as an undrafted free agent on May 3, 2016. He participated in the team’s 2016 offseason program and training camp before being waived during final cuts on September 4.
Collegiately, Krieger-Coble saw action in 46 games (14 starts) at Iowa and totaled 42 receptions for 463 yards and four touchdowns. In 2015, he appeared in all 14 games (10 starts) and caught 35 passes for 405 yards and one touchdown. Krieger-Coble ranked second on the team in receptions and receiving yards. He saw action in 10 games (three starts) in 2014 and registered three catches for 28 yards and two touchdowns. Krieger-Coble played in all 13 games in 2013. He appeared in nine games (one start) in 2012 and compiled four receptions for 30 yards and one touchdown. Krieger-Coble redshirted as a true freshman in 2011.
Jeter, 6-6, 251 pounds, signed with the Colts as an undrafted free agent on May 4, 2017. He participated in the Colts three-day rookie mini-camp and 2017 offseason program. Jeter played in 35 games (17 starts) at LSU and totaled 23 receptions for 289 yards and two touchdowns.
