DONNING THE WHITE JERSEYS
Posted by on May 8, 2013 – 4:22 pmFor only the second time in the club’s Indianapolis era, the Colts will wear white jerseys at home, this being for the preseason opener on August 11 against Buffalo.
The Colts did so last year for the preseason opener against St. Louis in earning a rousing 38-3 win that included a first-play, 63-yard touchdown pass by the Indianapolis offense.
This will not be a common occurrence for the team going forward, just a chance for fans to see the club a bit differently for one preseason game.
The Colts have worn throwback uniforms on three occasions – 2004 in Detroit, 2010 at Philadelphia and in 2010 at home versus San Francisco in preseason.
The only other variation of the color scheme came in 1995, when the Colts wore blue pants in three outings.

Since the switch to Nike the Colts’ white uniforms look amazing. I wish we’d get an alternate though. maybe an all blue uni. Also, I really really miss the blue facemasks.

Ilove the white ( check our Super Bowl record)but all blue only brings back the the blue pants memory and that was ugly. nice treat for the home fans! GO COLTS!!!!
