This time of year, pundits around the NFL take the league’s 32 teams and rank them.
The rankings get analyzed by everyone and the teams near the bottom, turn that into motivation (i.e. the 2012 Colts).
Sure the rankings are merely something on paper but it should be noted that more often than not, the order is a strong indication of who we will see playing into January and beyond.
The 2013 versions are beginning to be published and looking back at last year’s rankings shows a stark contrast in regards to a certain AFC South team.
- Houston (5)
- Tennessee (24)
- Indianapolis (31)
- Jacksonville (32)
- Houston (7), down 2 spots
- Indianapolis (12), up 19 spots
- Tennessee (27), down 3 spots
- Jacksonville (31), up 1 spot
