The Chargers and Colts connection continued on Thursday with San Diego signing former Colts linebacker Kavell Conner.

Earlier this week, the Chargers signed former Colts running back Donald Brown.

Conner joins Brown after playing four seasons with the Colts and starting 36 games since being drafted by Indianapolis in 2010.

Below is an excerpt from the Chargers announcing the acquisition of Conner:

Over four seasons, the 6-0, 245-pounder recorded 236 tackles, seven passes defensed, two forced fumbles and one sack.  His most productive campaign came in 2011 when he started 15 of 16 games, amassing 104 tackles.  Overall, he’s made 36 starts in 52 career games. Conner dealt with injuries in 2013, appearing in only 10 games while recording just 21 tackles.

Conner has a number of ties to his new team, most notably with Telesco.  The general manager was a member of the Colts front office when he was selected in the seventh round of the 2010 NFL Draft. Conner also played collegiately at Clemson alongside two of his new Chargers teammates, Crezdon Butler and Marcus Gilchrist.  Finally, he’ll be under the tutelage of Defensive Coordinator John Pagano after suiting up the past two seasons for his brother, Colts Head Coach Chuck Pagano.

On Wednesday, the Kansas City Chiefs signed versatile offensive lineman Jeff Linkenbach.

As a 2010 undrafted free agent, Linkenbach filled a variety of roles up front for the Colts and started 33 games in his four seasons.

Below is the Linkenbach part of the Chiefs release:

Linkenbach (6-6, 325, #72) has played in 60 games (33 starts) in four NFL seasons with the Indianapolis Colts (2010-13). He has seen action in four postseason games (two starts). Known for his versatility, Linkenbach served as both a tackle and a guard in his time in Indianapolis. He originally entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Colts on April 30, 2010. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2010, after serving as the Bearcats right tackle for four years. Linkenbach prepped at Margaretta High School in Castalia, Ohio.
