The Indianapolis Colts today waived four players including linebacker Alan Baxter, fullback Stephen Campbell, tight end Martell Webb and kicker Carson Wiggs.

Baxter was originally signed to the Colts practice squad on December 24, 2013 and was signed to a Reserve/Future contract on January 13, 2014. Collegiately, he played in 52 career games (24 starts) at Northern Illinois and finished with 152 tackles, 30.5 tackles for loss and 16.0 sacks.

Campbell was signed by the Colts as a free agent on April 17, 2014. In 32 career games for the West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcats (2009-2012), he totaled 65 receptions for 625 yards and eight touchdowns. As a junior in 2011, Campbell earned honorable mention West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WVIAC) accolades after starting all 11 games and catching 38 passes for 303 yards and five touchdowns.

Webb was signed to the Colts practice squad on November 28, 2013 and was signed to a Reserve/Future contract on January 13, 2014. He was originally signed by the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent on July 26, 2011 and was released on August 29. Webb then spent time with the New York Jets, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Arizona Cardinals, Tennessee Titans and the Detroit Lions.

Wiggs was signed by the Colts as a free agent on March 18, 2014. He finished his collegiate career (2008-2011) as the most accurate kicker in Purdue history, connecting on 53-of-72 career field goals (73.6%). Wiggs was originally signed by the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent on April 28, 2012 but was waived prior to the start of the regular season.

The Indianapolis Colts today agreed to terms with cornerback Louchiez Purifoy.

Purifoy, 6-1, 189 pounds, played in 37 games (19 starts) for the Florida Gators and recorded 102 tackles (69 solo), 12 passes defensed, five forced fumbles, 4.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions, 2.0 sacks and one fumble recovery. As a junior in 2013, he was named Second Team All-Southeastern Conference by Athlon Sports after totaling 24 tackles (14 solo), seven passes defensed, two interceptions, 2.0 sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery in 11 games played (seven starts). His passes defensed total ranked second on the team. As a sophomore in 2012, Purifoy finished the season fourth on the team with 51 tackles and added five passes defensed. He also played an instrumental role on special teams with three forced fumbles and two blocked kicks. As a freshman in 2011, Purifoy tallied a team-high 22 special teams tackles.

Colts Open Registration for 2014 Jr. Cheerleader Program

Girls Ages 6-14 Have Opportunity to Perform at Colts Games and be a Part of Colts Cheerleading Program


INDIANAPOLIS – The Indianapolis Colts have opened registration for their 2014 Jr. Cheerleader program. Created for young girls ages 6-14, the Jr. Cheerleader program provides participants with the opportunity to perform at four Colts games, learn what it takes to be an Indianapolis Colts Cheerleader, strengthen their dance skills, attend exclusive events, and volunteer in their community.


Registration is now open online at The 7-month program is $510 for new participants. This includes tuition for clinics June-December, participation at four games, as well as a custom Jr. Cheerleader uniform, practice t-shirt and shorts, and pom poms. The Indianapolis Colts Jr. Cheerleader program is presented by Tyler Mason Salon & Spa and Indiana University Health, and supported by Curtain Call Dance Studio.
