Just one week after Colts Day at Vincennes University, the Colts crew was off on another adventure in Greensburg, Indiana for our first Fan Fest of the summer. Once again, we loaded up the trailer and Colts vehicles with several fun inflatables and Colts giveaways, and headed to Greensburg.
When we arrived at the Decatur County Courthouse, we were greeted by some Colts spirit in the town square. Several shops and restaurants were proudly displaying Colts gear and posters. Thanks for the warm welcome, Greensburg!
Although I’m sure the fans were looking forward to everything that Fan Fest had to offer, I know they were especially excited to meet Jerrell Freeman and Dwayne Allen. Both players arrived in a helicopter not far from the Courthouse and then headed over to the event. However, this wasn’t just any player arrival – a Ford truck stretch limo with a police escort transported Freeman and Allen to Fan Fest. Their red carpet arrival was accompanied by cheers of loyal fans, excited to meet the players and eager to get the long line moving!
Both players were looking forward to being in Greensburg and meeting some of the 1,200 fans in attendance.
“I love the opportunity to interact with the fans,” Allen said. “They get a taste of my personality, and I get a chance to see theirs.”
“It’s great getting out here and being in cities I haven’t been to,” Freeman added. “This is my first time in Greensburg, and it’s an awesome crowd.”
After getting autographs from the players, cheerleaders, and Blue, siblings Emily, age 9, and TJ, age 12, tested some of the exciting inflatables. Although we brought our Colts horse slide, Play 60 Zone, Field Goal Challenge and bounce house, Emily was able to choose a favorite. “I think the bounce house is the best and I like that it’s shaped like a football!” she said.
Fans took a break from the fun and enjoyed some pizza from the Papa John’s Pizza Truck and live music from the Hunter Smith Band. The former Colts punter and his band will be playing at each Fan Fest on the Summer Tour, and he is definitely favorite among the fans.
Those who came out to Fan Fest also shopped at our Mobile Pro Shop to stock up on Colts gear. From jerseys to car decals, the Pro Shop had it all. However, car decals were the last thing Colts fan Braidon needed. “I deck my car out in everything Colts for the whole year, not just the season!” he explained. Now that’s what we like to hear!
Erica, a longtime Colts fan, enjoyed meeting the four cheerleaders who came out to Greensburg. “I went to the cheer showcase this past year,” Erica, Indiana State University student and 2013 Miss Decatur County, told me. “I’m also planning on auditioning next season!”
After the two hours of Colts fun in Greensburg, we packed up and headed back to Indy. “We love fans who are passionate and loyal to the Horseshoe,” Allen said. After talking to just a few of the fans in Greensburg, I would say they definitely match Allen’s description! With one more successful event down, we’re ready for another Fan Fest in Louisville at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium on June 26th. We hope to see many more Colts fans at this Summer Tour event. Thanks, Greensburg, for a great time!

Indianapolis Colts Head Coach Chuck Pagano to Sign Copies of Book: Sidelined: Overcoming Odds Through Unity, Passion and PerseverancePosted by on – 4:03 pm
Indianapolis Colts Head Coach Chuck Pagano will be signing copies of his book, Sidelined: Overcoming Odds Through Unity, Passion and Perseverance, at the Barnes & Noble Carmel location on Saturday, June 21 at 11 a.m. Adults, children and Colts fans are invited to attend.
Pagano’s philosophy on coaching football helped build a team that would triumph over a cancer diagnosis and carry them through to the playoffs. In SIDELINED, Pagano shares what’s being called the most inspirational story in recent NFL history. This book details how he was diagnosed with leukemia three weeks into his first season with the Colts, a team still reeling from a painful 2-14 record the year before, and how passion and perseverance conquered predicted failure to unite a family, a team and a community.
The best part of Pagano’s tale is how this amazing fight to overcome adversity ultimately led to triumph at the end of that first season. SIDELINED is a real account of how a determined group of men, inspired by their ailing head coach, played selflessly with a never-give-up attitude to overcome seemingly insurmountable odds.
Barnes & Noble Booksellers Carmel/Westfield is located at 14790 Greyhound Plaza, Carmel, IN, 46032.

Clark totaled 64 receptions for 847 yards in the postseason, both of which are NFL records by a tight end, while his four touchdowns are tied for sixth. During the Colts’ championship run to Super Bowl XLI, Clark posted the highest receiving-yardage total (317) by an NFL tight end in a single postseason since 1970 and his 21 receptions ranked second.
For his 11-year NFL career, Clark finished with 505 receptions for 5,665 yards and 53 touchdowns in 143 games played (118 starts). Among tight ends, he ranks tied for sixth in NFL history in receiving touchdowns, tied for eighth in receptions and 15th in receiving yards.
