INDIANAPOLIS COLTS ANNOUNCE 2015 PRESEASON SCHEDULE
Posted by on April 9, 2015 – 4:00 pmThe Indianapolis Colts today announced its 2015 preseason schedule. Dates and times are yet to be finalized.
The Colts will open the preseason with a Week 1 road contest at Philadelphia. The meeting will be the first in the preseason between the teams since a 23-15 victory over the Eagles on August 20, 2009. Overall, Indianapolis holds a 10-9 record against Philadelphia in the preseason dating back to 1953.
The Chicago Bears will travel to Lucas Oil Stadium for a Week 2 contest. The Colts and Bears will compete for the 15th overall time in the preseason since 1957. In the last matchup, Indianapolis fell to Chicago by a 27-24 margin on August 20, 2007 at the RCA Dome.
Indianapolis will then take on the St. Louis Rams at the Edward Jones Dome in Week 3. The two teams have only met in the preseason three times with the Rams holding a 2-1 advantage in the series. In the 2012 matchup, Indianapolis defeated St. Louis, 38-3, at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Dating back to 2001, the Colts and Cincinnati Bengals have met each preseason, traditionally in the finale. This year, Indianapolis will host Cincinnati (Sept. 3) for the first time since 2013. Overall, the Bengals hold a 15-8 preseason series record, which includes a 35-7 win in 2014.
