5K Run/Walk, strengthened by Indiana University Health, Gives Fans Opportunity to Finish on 50 Yard Line
Indianapolis, IN – Today, the Indianapolis Colts announced their 3rd Annual Colts 5K Run/Walk, strengthened by Indiana University Health, to kick off the 2015 season. Registration for the race, which will be held the morning of Saturday, August 22 at Lucas Oil Stadium, opens today at www.colts.com/run. A Kids’ PLAY 60 Fun Run will also be held that morning at the stadium.
Early registration pricing is available through June 30, including $35 for the 5K and $15 for the Kids’ Fun Run. A portion of the race proceeds will benefit Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health.
This is the third year the Colts have hosted a 5K Run/Walk at Lucas Oil Stadium. The 2014 event brought nearly 2,800 runners and walkers to the stadium. The event was created to allow fans to share in the glory of the gridiron while supporting a healthy and active lifestyle by completing a 5K run/walk.
“This August as we celebrate the return of football season, we are excited to once again offer our 5K Run/Walk for fans to enjoy in Downtown Indianapolis,” said Stephanie Pemberton, Indianapolis Colts Sr. Director of Marketing. “Through our partnership with Indiana University Health, this event provides a great opportunity for Colts Nation to get active while having fun and finishing the route on the fifty yard line at Lucas Oil Stadium.”

The 2015 Colts 5K Run/Walk is strengthened by Indiana University Health and supported in part by LIDS Sports Group, CBS 4, Gatorade and Piazza Produce.
