The Indianapolis Colts today signed defensive end Earl Okine to the practice squad.
Okine, 6-6, 290 pounds, played in three games (Weeks 1-3) for Indianapolis in 2015 and registered three tackles before being waived on October 1. He saw action with the Brooklyn Bolts of the Fall Experimental Football League (FXFL) in 2014, where he helped the team to a 4-0 mark. Okine also played for the Orlando Predators of the Arena Football League (AFL) in 2014 and totaled 28 tackles (16 solo), 7.5 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, three passes defensed and one fumble recovery in 16 games. Prior to joining the Predators, he spent time with the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Collegiately, Okine appeared in 41 career games at the University of Florida and finished with 27 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, 1.0 sack, one blocked field goal and one pass defensed.
