The Indianapolis Colts today released quarterback Josh Johnson.
Johnson, 6-3, 210 pounds, was signed by the Colts as a free agent on October 2. He was active but did not play in the team’s Week 4 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Johnson has played in 29 career NFL games (five starts) and completed 96-of-177 passes for 1,042 yards with five touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He has spent time with the San Francisco 49ers, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns and Tampa Bay Buccaneers since being selected by the Buccaneers in the fifth round (160th overall) of the 2008 NFL Draft.
