The Indianapolis Colts today signed running back Josh Robinson to the practice squad.
Robinson, 5-8, 221 pounds, was waived by the Colts on November 11. He has played in five games this season and totaled 17 carries for 39 yards and six receptions for 33 yards. Robinson was selected by Indianapolis in the sixth round (205th overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft.
Collegiately, he played in 37 games (13 starts) at Mississippi State and rushed for 1,997 yards on 323 carries with 15 touchdowns, adding 493 yards receiving and one score. His 6.2 yards per carry average tied for the school record. In 2014, Robinson was a Second Team All-SEC selection by the league’s coaches and The Associated Press. He ranked third in the SEC in rushing yards (1,203, 34th in FBS) and rushing yards per game (92.5, 39th in FBS). Additionally, his 11 rushing touchdowns tied for first in the SEC.
